Community Education
Part of our mission as Fort Bend County Master Gardeners is to provide horticultural education to the residents of our county. Education can come in many forms including structured classroom training (as for our new Master Gardeners), our monthly programs and Green Thumb Seminars, providing pertinent literature, teaching teachers, and, of course, hands-on training. To accomplish this mission, we work closely with our Texas Cooperative Extension agent.
- The Grapevine provides updates on our Demonstration gardens and tips on gardening.
- Our Monthly Programs provide unique and specific information on various topics that are presented by experts in those fields.
- Our Green Thumb Seminars provide timely advice on a wide range of horticultural topics pertinent to Fort Bend County.
- And our plant sales gives everyone a chance to learn more about a specific plant with advice on the care of that plant.
Visit our 4 acres of Demonstration Gardens and talk to the volunteers who design and maintain them. It’s a great way to learn! Park in front of the Agriculture Center, located at 1402 Band Road, Rosenberg, 77471. Take one of the sidewalks back to the area behind the building to find the Master Gardeners.
Looking for a Farmer's Market? We have compiled a listing of local locations for you. Fort Bend County Master Gardeners provides this listing as a community service and does not endorse any of the markets.
